The Ashbringer

Several new spells

  • Ashbringer - Judgement day has come for the Scourge.
  • Greater Turn Evil The targeted undead or demon enemy will be compelled to flee for up to $d. Damage caused may interrupt the effect. Only one target can be turned at a time. Compelled to flee by the fury of the Ashbringer!
  • Reckoning Bomb - Unleashes the Reckoning upon the Scourge, inflicting ridiculous amounts of damage. Some might even say the damage is ludicrous.
  • Fitful Dream - Immersed in the Emerald Nightmare.
  • Reckoning Bomb - Shoots a volley of rockets at the target and anyone within range of the target.
  • The Reckoning - Judgement day has come for the Scourge.

Death Knight

  • Horn of Winter: New spell, Horn of Winter: The Death Knight blows the Horn of Winter, increasing total Strength and Agility of all party or raid members within [RADIUS] yards by 155. Lasts 120 sec.
  • Reaping (Rank 3) : Description changed from 'Whenever you use Death and Decay, there is a 100% chance that all three runes become Death Runes when they activate.' to 'Whenever you use Pestilence or Blood Boil there is a 100% chance that the Blood Rune becomes a Death Rune when it activates.'
  • Dark Conviction (Rank 5): Now "increases your chance to critically hit with weapons, spells and abilities by 5%" instead of just melee weapons.
  • Improved Icy Touch:Description changed from '...Frost Fever reduces melee, ranged and casting speed by an additional 3%.' to '...Frost Fever reduces melee attack speed by an additional 6%.'
  • Death Coil: No longer modified by attack power. "Fire a blast of unholy energy, causing [492.0] Shadow damage to an enemy target or healing [738.0] damage from a friendly Undead target."
  • Forst Fever No longer effects casting speed. Now reduces melee and ranged attack speed by 14% (down from 15%)
  • Howling Blast (Rank 5)': Description changed from 'Blast the target with a frigid wind dealing 777 to 843 Frost damage to all enemies within 10 yards...' to 'Blast the target with a frigid wind dealing 622 to 674 Frost damage to all enemies within 10 yards...'
  • Bloody Vengeance (Rank 5): Now applies to Frost damage as well and stacks up to 4 times instead of 3.
  • Raise Dead (Rank 1): Description changed from '...If no humanoid corpse is available, Corpse Dust must be supplied to complete the spell...' to '...If no humanoid corpse that yields experience or honor is available...'
  • Toughness (Rank 5): Now also reduces the duration of all movement slowing effects by 50%.'
  • Corpse Explosion: Damage ranged changed to 10 yards from 20 yards.
  • Desecration: Plague Strikes now cause this effect instead of Obliterates
  • Unholy Command: (Rank 1) Description changed from 'Reduces the cooldown of your Death Grip ability by 5/10 sec and the cooldown of your Demand ability by 1/2 sec.' to 'Reduces the cooldown of your Death Grip ability by 5/10 sec and the cooldown of your Dark Command ability by 1/2 sec.'
  • Dark Command (NEW): Commands the target to attack you, but has no effect if the target is already attacking you.
  • Scourge Strike (Rank 4): Description changed from 'An unholy strike that deals 60% weapon damage plus [13.8] as Shadow damage and infects the target with Blood Plague, a disease doing Shadow damage over time. The strike removes one heal over time effect from the target.' to 'An unholy strike that deals 100% of weapon damage as Shadow damage plus [494.0] and [50.0]% additional damage for each of the Death Knight's diseases on the target.'
  • Hysteria: 'The target is Enraged' added to description.
  • Anti-Magic Shell: Now prevents application of harmful magical effects
  • Sigil of the Dark Rider : Description changed from 'Increases the damage dealt by your Blood Strike ability by 90.' to 'Increases the damage dealt by your Blood Strike and Heart Strike by 90.'

Druid

  • Blue Post: Oh, and the current plan for Nature's Grasp is for it to be a base ability (100% chance).
  • Genesis: Increases the damage and healing done by your periodic spells by 1/2/3/4/5%.
  • Mother Bear [PH] [NYI]: Increases the bonus attack power for Bear Form and Dire Bear Form by an additional 20/40/60%, and for each friendly player in your party, damage you take is reduced while in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form by 1/2/3%.
  • Nature's Splendor: Increases the duration of your Moonfire, Insect Swarm, Rejuvenation, Regrowth, Lifebloom and Flourish spells by 30%.
  • Natural Reaction [PH]: Increases your dodge while in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form by 2/4/6%, and you regenerate 1/2/3 rage eveyrtime you dodge while in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form.
  • Improved Insect Swarm [PH] [NYI]: Increases your damage done by your Wrath spell to targets afflicted by your Insect Swarm by 1/2/3%, and increases the critical strike chance of your Starfire spell by 1/2/3% on targets afflicted by your Moonfire spell.
  • Increased Spirit: Chance on Moonfire to increase your Spirit by 131.
  • Nature's Splendor: Increases the duration of your Moonfire, Insect Swarm, Rejuvenation, Regrowth, Lifebloom and Flourish spells by 10%.
  • Healing Touch (Rank 15): Cast time lowered from 3.5 to 3 seconds
  • Hurricane (Rank 4) : Description changed from '...and increasing the time between attacks by 25%. Lasts [DURATION].' to '...and increasing the time between attacks by 20%. Lasts [DURATION]. '
  • Furor (Rank 5) : Now Increases your total Intellect while in Moonkin form by 6%.'
  • Improved Moonkin Form (Rank 3) : Description changed from 'Your Moonkin Aura also causes affected targets to have a 100% chance to gain 20% spell haste when they critically hit with spells for [DURATION]. This effect has a 30 second cooldown.' to 'Your Moonkin Aura also causes affected targets to gain 3% haste.'
  • Omen of Clarity: Description changed to reflect proc on all damaging attacks: "Each of the Druid's damage, healing spells and autoattacks has a chance..."
  • Earth and Moon (Rank 5): Now "increases Arcane, Fire, Frost, Nature and Shadow damage taken by 13%" instead of just Nature and Arcane damage done to the target by 2%. Debuff no longer stacks.
  • Moonkin Form: Spell crit aura now effects the entire raid (within radius).
  • Improved Faerie Fire (Rank 2): Description changed from 'Your Faerie Fire spell also increases the chance the target will be hit by melee, ranged and spell attacks by 2%.' to 'Your Faerie Fire spell also increases the chance the target will be hit by spell attacks by 2%.'
  • Nature's Focus: Now also applies to Wrath, Entangling Roots, and Cyclone.
  • Focused Starlight renamed to Nature's Majesty: Now also effects Nourish and Healing Touch.
  • Nourish: Mana cost changed from 9% to 22%.
  • Tree of Life (Passive): Description changed from 'Increases healing received by 25% of the Tree of Life's total spirit.' to 'Increases healing received by raid members within 45 yards by 3%.'
  • Tree of Life (Shapeshift): Healing recieved bonus now effects the entire raid, but was lowered to 3% (down from 25%).
  • Improved Tree of Life (Rank 3): Description changed from '...and increases the effect of your Tree of Life Aura by 15%.' to '...and reduces the mana cost of your heal over time spells while in Tree of Life Form by an additional 15%.'
  • Nature's Grasp (Rank 8): Description changed from 'While active, any time an enemy strikes the caster they have a 35% chance to become afflicted by Entangling Roots (Rank 8). 1 charge. Lasts [DURATION].' to 'While active, any time an enemy strikes the caster they have a 100% chance to become afflicted by Entangling Roots (Rank 8). 1 charge. Lasts [DURATION].'
  • Insect Swarm (Rank 7): Description changed from 'The enemy target is swarmed by insects, decreasing their chance to hit by 2%...' to 'The enemy target is swarmed by insects, decreasing their chance to hit by 5%...'
  • Celestial Focus (Rank 3): Description changed from '...and reduces the casting time lost when damaged by 70% when casting your Wrath spell.' to '...and increases your total spell haste by 3%.'

Hunter

  • Camouflage: You camouflage, causing you and your Pet to blend into your surroundings. After 3 sec., you will enter a stealthed state. While stealthed, you and your pet's movement speed is reduced by 30%, but the damage done by your next attack is increased by 50%. You can lay traps while under the effect, but any damage done by you or your pet will cancel the effect. Cannot be cast while in combat.
  • Improved Hunter's Mark (Rank 3) : Description changed from 'Causes 100% of your Hunter's Mark ability's base attack power to apply to melee attack power as well, and reduces the chance your Hunter's Mark ability is dispelled by 30%.' to 'Increases the bonus attack power granted by your Hunter's Mark ability by 30%, and reduces the mana cost of your Hunter's Mark ability by 100%.'
  • Deterrence: Description changed from 'When activated, decreases all damage taken by 60% for [DURATION].' to 'When activated, increases dodge and parry chance by 25% for [DURATION].'
  • Hunter's Mark (Rank 4): Additional damage increase per strike while Mark is active has been removed. Now: "Places the Hunter's Mark on the target, increasing the ranged attack power of all attackers against that target by 110. In addition, the target of this ability can always be seen by the hunter whether it stealths or turns invisible. The target also appears on the mini-map. Lasts for [DURATION]."
  • Aspect of the Viper: Description changed from 'The hunter takes on the aspects of a viper, regenerating mana equal to up to 55% of his Intellect plus 35% of his level every 5 sec. The lower the hunter's current mana, the more mana will be regenerated. ' to 'The hunter takes on the aspect of the viper, instantly regenerating mana equal to 100% of the damage done by any ranged attack or ability, but reduces your total damage done by 50%.'
  • Point of No Escape (Rank 3): Description changed from 'Increases the critical strike chance of all attacks on targets affected by your Frost, Freezing and Bear Trap by 6%.' to 'Increases the critical strike chance of all attacks on targets affected by your Frost and Freezing Traps by 6%.'
  • Expose Weakness (Rank 3): Now only benefits the hunter.
  • Kill Shot (Rank 1): Description changed from 'You attempt to finish the wounded target off, firing a long range attack dealing weapon damage plus [RAP * 0.15 + 325.0]. Causes an additional 745 to 825 bonus damage against targets at or under 20% health...' to 'You attempt to finish the wounded target off, firing a long range attack dealing weapon damage plus [RAP * 0.15 + 2500.0]...'
  • Rapid Killing (Rank 2): Description changed from 'Reduces the cooldown of your Rapid Fire ability by 2 min. In addition, after killing an opponent that yields experience or honor, your next Aimed Shot, Arcane Shot or Auto Shot causes 20% additional damage. Lasts [DURATION].' to 'Reduces the cooldown of your Rapid Fire ability by 2 min. In addition, after killing an opponent that yields experience or honor, your next Aimed Shot, Arcane Shot or Chimera Shot causes 20% additional damage. Lasts [DURATION].'
  • Improved Arcane Shot (Rank 3): Description changed from 'Reduces the cooldown of your Arcane Shot by $/1000;S1 sec.' to 'Increases the damage done by your Arcane Shot by 15%.'
  • Combat Experience (Rank 2): Description changed from 'Increases your total Agility by 2% and your total Intellect by 6%.' to 'Increases your total Agility by 6% and your total Intellect by 6%.'
  • Mend Pet (Rank 8): Mana cost changed to 9%

Wintergrasp Changes

  • Ram : Description changed from 'Also deals 500 siege damage to buildings.' to 'Also deals 1500 siege damage to buildings.'
  • RPGs have a 5 second cast time
  • Wintergrasp Shutdown: All Goblin vehicles are shutdown the moment the combat ends. Good for business, not so good for the fighters inside.
  • Land Mines: Summons 3 Land mines. The mines will explode, dealing 850 Fire damage if anyone approaches them too closely. Deals bonus damage to mechanical units.
  • Homing Rocket: Deals 720 to 880 damage to the current target. Requires a flying target.
  • Machine Gun: Focuses the machine guns on the enemy. The machine gun will continue to track the enemy for 1000, even while moving.
  • Essence of Wintergrasp - Allows the bearer to see and loot Essence Crystals. Also increases their focus in combat, improving the experience they gain.

Major Upcoming Content Patch - 08/25/08

With the release of Wrath of the Lich King approaching, we wanted to provide you with some important information. In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks. Much like the patch made available shortly before The Burning Crusade's release, this content patch is designed to bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions.

We have outlined some of the larger features scheduled to release with the patch below:

Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades

As mentioned above, this is not a comprehensive list, just some of the major highlights. We’ll post the full patch notes as soon as they’re available. Regarding Inscription, please note that all Burning Crusade players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.

The WotLK Information Wiki's new site wiki has hit the 20 million page view mark as of today!

In the last month alone we've had nearly 10 MILLION page views and 650 THOUSAND unique visitors from 159 different countries just on the wiki. As if 20 million wasn't enough, if you take into account the forums, and the traffic from the older version of the site, we are actually well over 50 million pageviews with an average of 1500 people on the site at any given time!

We just want to say a hearty thanks to all of our visitors, and everyone who has helped make this site into what it's become. We're working all the time to make things bigger and better. Here's to another 20 million!

A few words before the link spam. I know it is out of sync in several parts, blame Blizzard's timers. I know I gave credit to the wrong person, thanks is to Masteve for the video at the start.
