Knights of the Ebon Blade

Summary

The Knights of the Ebon Blade Faction is related to the new Hero Class, the Death Knight, and their new starting zone, Ebon Hold, found in the Eastern Plaguelands. Both Horde and Alliance Death Knights can gain Reputation with this Faction.

Led by Highlord Darion Mograine, the Death Knights serving Arthas during their crusade against the Argent Dawn broke away after the battle for Light's Hope Chapel. The Lich King's betrayal led to the Death Knights' defeat at the battle, and so the surviving Death Knights formed the Ebon Blade and vowed to avenge their fallen brothers by fighting alongside the Horde and Alliance in their campaigns against the Lich King.

Several Ebon Blade encampments can be found in Northrend (though currently only Ebon Hold quests give reputation), including:

• Ebon Post in central Howling Fjord.
• Ebon Watch in western Zul'drak.

Quests

Currently a few of the Death Knight "starter" quests in Ebon Hold give Ebon Blade Reputation. (See a full list on WoWHead.)

Additional rep can be gained from Normal-Mode Dungeon Daily Quests, which reward a choice of several reputation items, including the Ebon Blade Commendation Badge, which awards 250 reputation on use. Currently four quests which reward these items are available:

• Timear Foresees Infinite Agents in your Future! (CoT: Stratholme Past)
• Timear Foresees Titanium Vanguards in your Future! (Halls of Lightning)
• Timear Foresees Ymirjar Berserkers in your Future! (Utgarde Pinnacle)

Championing

In addition to quests, reputation can be gained through Championing. While wearing the Tabard of the Ebon Blade in any level 80 5-man Dungeon, Ebon Blade reputation is rewarded for each kill according to the following chart:

Reputation can be gained via Championing all the way through Exalted.
