"The Four Horsemen are four powerful death knights in the service of Kel'Thuzad, in his dread citadel of Naxxramas. They are Baron Rivendare, Thane Korth'azz, Lady Blaumeux, and Sir Zeliek. Highlord Alexandros Mograine, The Ashbringer, was once counted amongst them, but following their defeat in the Eastern Plaguelands has gone missing, with Rivendare acting as his replacement.

They were originally based on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the Book of Revelation, said to bring the end of the world — Zeliek as the White Rider of Conquest,[1] Mograine as the Red Rider of War, Blaumeux as the Black Rider of Famine, and Korth'azz as the Pale Rider of Death."

The Four Horsemen are the final of the three bosses in the Military Quarter.

Baron Rivendare can be found in the instanced version of Acherus: The Ebon Hold.

"Once, Baron Rivendare was a wealthy Lordaeron landowner and a friend of Kel’Thuzad. He fell under the necromancer’s sway and helped build and structure the Cult of the Damned. Rivendare then achieved the title and powers of a death knight. Now, Rivendare has his base in Stratholme. He serves Kel’Thuzad eagerly and exults in his power. One of his greatest joys is to instill corruption in others, especially paladins, and most especially members of the Argent Dawn. This knight is a regal figure — his face is pale but aristocratic, and white hair hangs to his shoulders, while a scarf covers his face. He crouches over a horned, skeletal steed, and purple runes glitter across his black armor, cloak, and runeblade. Baron Rivendare excels at melee combat (especially mounted warfare) and he knows it. At the earliest possible moment, he charges, whether afoot or mounted on his skeletal horse, Deathcharger. Then the baron unleashes the dreadful power of his runeblade. He prefers to fight with created undead to support him, and he uses death pact on these to recover hit points. Rivendare enjoys testing his mettle against fellow close combat specialists, but strikes at arcanists and healers if they prove bothersome."

Each horseman has 780k HP.

This strategy requires two tanks capable of taking melee hits, three healers, and at least one ranged DPS.

The setup is as follows: One tank to either side of the door, with one healer each and two dps each. In the back, you need one ranged DPS and one healer, one in each corner.

The fight starts with one of the two melee tanks pulling Thane Korth'azz or Baron Rivendare. Each of the horsemen will ride to a specific corner: Thane rides to East, Baron to North, Zellek West, and Blaumeux goes South. The two tanks should pick up Baron and Thane, while the ranged DPS and healer in the back should damage their respective targets to pick up aggro with them. It's imperative that the healer in the back is keeping both himself and the ranged DPS alive.

Each of the horsemen stack a debuff within their range (~approx 35 yards), increasing damage taken by that particular horsemen. As such, every three debuffs, the tanks should switch targets. Melee tanks can taunt off of each other (Paladins will need to either carefully time their taunts over voice-chat, or to have a third party tank taunt off to assist in the swap). Every three debuffs, the ranged DPS and healer in the back should also swap positions and targets.

Each horsemen also has a different ability that needs to be accounted for.

Baron Rivendare has a short-ranged version of his DoT aura from Stratholme. It's easily out-ranged at ~20 yards (not far at all).

Thane calls down meteors similar to AQ20 and Arcatraz. To account for this, the group currently tanking Thane needs to stack up on the tank to split the damage evenly and reduce the stress on the healer.

Blaumeux opens up Void Zones similar to Netherspite. These black areas on the floor are easily spotted and need to be avoided.

Once the first of the horsemen is killed, both front groups converge and finish off the other horsemen as quickly as possible to prevent the debuff from hurting too much. Then, each side moves along the side wall that it started near to their respective back corners, and being the same rotation, switching sides every three debuffs.
