Tradeable/Sellable Enchants

A major change to the Enchanting profession in Wrath of the Lich King will be the addition of the ability to create enchants that can be traded or sold on the Auction House.

Using new Parchment reagents (Bleached Parchment and Treated Vellum) created by the Inscription profession, Enchanters will be able create Enchanted Scrolls. These scrolls can then be traded, mailed, or sold like any BOE item and used to place enchants on the appropriate piece of armor.

Details of this process are not yet finalized as of Live Beta Build 8634. However, some evidence of the process has cropped up in some available spell data:

From the Official Beta Forums:

Armor Scrolls:

Each parchment is used specifically for type of enchants (Armor or Weapons). The Bleached Parchment seems to work only for any non-weapon/ring enchants that don't have a level requirement (pre-BC enchants). Any attempt to use 300+ enchants results in "Target item is low level".

Not all enchants will have this option. Developers have stated that while they think this change will help Enchanters use their profession more efficiently, they do not want to completely removed the interactive element of Enchanting items face-to-face. Especially rare or high-level enchants will likely still have to be done this way.
