The Great Dragonblight is a graveyard of Dragons, located in Northrend. The entrance to the Nerubian kingdom of Azjol-Nerub can be found in the north, while the mysterious Wyrmrest Temple resides in the south. The Magnataur village of Bloodmar lies here also, as well as the Tauren outpost of Icemist Village, and the nerubian conclave of Sundered Monolith.

The bones are zealously guarded by Malygos and his Blue Dragonflight, but the rise of the Lich King and the Scourge allowed the undead to claim many sets of bones from the graveyard and use them to create Frost Wyrms for the Scourge forces. The Dragonblight was also the home of the first humans to fall victim to the plague.

This zone has many major Warcraft stories in it. ( N.B : All of this is from an Alliance P.O.V)

There are several areas of importance :

Wyrmrest Temple

° A Titan structure that is under the assault of the Blue Dragonflight. The structure itself is divided into four parts: The Chamber of Aspects, the ground floor, the middle level and the upper level. On the ground floor there are ambassadors of the Horde and the Alliance negotiating with the Wyrmrest Guardians. There is also a flightmaster and a few other things. On the middle level you have the one in charge of Wyrmrest temple defenses, asking you to use a red Dragon to defend the temple from the Blue Dragonflight. On the Upper level, you have a representative from each dragonflight :

Chromie, the gnome of Andorhal, representing the Bronze Dragonflight, asking you to do a quest at the Bronze Dragonshrine to uncover the Leader of the Infinite Dragonflight.

Itharius, the High elf from Swamp of Sorrows (from the Eranikus questline) who represents the Green Dragonflight, and asks you to restore balance inside the Emerald Dragonshrine

Nalice, an ambassador of the Black Dragonflight, who asks you to free the Obsidian Dragonshrine from the taint of the scourge.

Krasus and Alexstraza ambassadors the Red Dragonflight, who ask you to fight the Scourge invading the Ruby Dragonshrine.

Wintergarde Keep

( Alliance Main Quest hub)

The 7th legion is presented. Basically it's a legion that fought in all of the great wars of the Alliance (from Hyjal to Outland, Silithus, and elsewhere). It is described as the elite fighters of the Alliance, the squadron that has never been defeated. Basically the Alliance is sending the best of the best to assault Naxxramas.

Highlord Bolvar Fordragon moved a great army toward the Wrath Gate (entrance to Icecrown) and began to build a fortress (the Horde did the same) in front of the entrance to Icecrown , giving great advantages to the Alliance and the Horde. In answer, the Lich King moved Naxxramas above Wintergarde Keep and destroyed 2/3 of the village there , however, the 7th Legion is preparing an attack back on Naxxramas to destroy Kel'Thuzad. There are lots of holograms showing every boss in Naxxramas in the main room and a pnj descripting each of them , preparing an attack plan.
The scourge's army attacking Wintergarde is leaded by a lich named Thel'Zan the Duskbringer. After some funny quest to weaken the attackers, we confront it and that lead to a nice encounter, Bolvar shows up and reveal the lich true identity , Father Inigo Montoy ( the one that took Kel Thuzard phylactery once this one is deafeated in Naxxramas)

Azure, Ruby, Emerald, Bronze and Obsidian Dragonshrines

Azure Dragonshrine

Malygos is redirecting all the ley line into the Azure Dragonshrine to strenghten his flight, preparing an assault against Wyrmrest temple.

Bronze Dragonshrine

Nozdormu seems to be the leader of the Infinite Dragonflight. The quest given by Chromie which aimed to reveal the leader of the infinite reveal Nozdormu. Chromie said this isn't making any sense, since Nozdormu disappeared to resolve and urgent matter and was not seen since. In denegation, Chromie said it's a good thing actually because it prooves that Nozdormu is still alive and fighting the infinite... ( Or a trick o blizzard to make us believe it's Nozdormu? )

Emerald Dragonshrine

°The guardian of the Emerald Dragongshrine states that the Shrine has lost is balance, and that she cannot made contact with Ysera because she senses that Ysera is clouded or unreacheable because of the Emerald Nightmare.

Obsidian Dragonshrine

°The guardian of the Black Dragonshrine asks you for clues of what the Scourge is up to inside the Dragonshrine. We discovers that the Scourge is ressurecting the bones of Black Dragon to make some Emberwyrm to assault the other Dragonshrines.

Ruby Dragonshrine

°The Dragonshrine is heavily assaulted. Emberwyrm roams the skies and ghouls and abominations are inside, ressurecting the corpse of the fallen red Dragon to make Emberwyrm. Alexstraza asks you to save the corpse of the Red Dragon by making them returns to the nature, and to eradicate the corruption of the Shrine by slaying it's former guardian, a Red Drake transformed into a Banshee by the Scourge. The Alliance and the Horde helps the Red Dragonflight to fight the scourge by defending every entrance to the Shrine.

New Hearthglen

The Scarlet Onslaught is there, Leaded by Abbendis. The general of the 7th legion wants her killed because he fears she'll meddle into the alliance attacks and try to destroy them and screw all their plans before the scourge is destroyed. The scarlet Onslaught base is named " New Hearthglen"

Abbendis is with a level 80, Admiral Westwind, when we have to kill her, surprinsigly, the Admiral do not move at all and watch Abbendis being murdered in front of him. When she is dead, he finally kneels on her corpse, saying : " You served your purpose " then he leave the cathedral saying to us just before disappearing " See you in Icecrown, fools"

About Admiral Westwind : He has is own statue inside the Scarlet Monastery, Herod's Room. Stated lost in Northrend.

The Forgotten shore / Frostmourne Cavern

Some quest are available to show us the events with Arthas and Muradin back in Warcraft III. More, we learn with those that Muradin Bronzebeard is still alive. Arthas left the cavern, thinking Muradin was dead, but this one was just inconscious. The soundfile of Warcraft III are used for those scenes.

Path of the titans

Remnants of the Structure used by the titans long ago, this is a giant road starting from Ulduar, passing above crystalsong forest and crossing Dragonblight to the south throught the Wyrmrest temple, before being lost into the Great Sea. We can suppose that it was heading towards the Well Of Eternity, and that similar roads existed, connecting Uldum and Uldaman to the Well.

Fordragon's Hold and the Wrath Gate

After breaking the Siege of Wintergade, we are being sent to meet Bolvar Fordragon at Fordragon's hold. This one tell us that they can't launch an assault against the Wrath gate when Frostwyrm are still there. So he asks you to get an Audience with Alexstraza to get the permission to destroy the bones of the ancient Drakes ( since alliance and the Wyrmrest Accord are allied, He had to gets the permission) Alexstraza tells us that before thinking of anything, we have to stop the Scourge from ressurecting Galakrond, the original Dragon from which all aspects were given their powers by the titans, if the scourge makes a Frostwyrm from Galakrond, then everything will be lost. She gaves you a Red Drake ( similar to Vaelastraz) to stop them. When this is done, you return to Bolvar and a Cinematic shows up ( not yet implemented so I can't tell you anything else)

Azjol Nerub

The entrance of Azjol nerub is located in the west of Dragonblight. There are some Nerubians NPC guarding the entrance to the Upper City, fighting with some Crypt Lord, saying that the Prophet has seen the demise of the Lord of the undead ( not sure about that one, I'll correct it soon when I'll see the scripted event again)
