Re: Icecrown Citadel Bosses
After a little thought I think I'll add Garrosh Hellscream to the boss list of Icecrown. Based on the new Scourge event I think he's being set up as "the new Arthas".

Well, Varian was viewed by Terenas kind of like a son. He and Arthas lived as brothers for the better part of a decade. He could be included, depending on what sort of part Varian plays in the Arthas novel that's coming out. Not saying it's going to happen, but if Blizzard decided to play it that way, which would reinforce Varian's place as a major lore figure, they could use the Arthas novel to set it up.

Re: Icecrown Citadel Bosses
I've gotta say the one boss I would place MONEY on being there is the Dark Valkyrie from UK. I dont know why, but as soon as I say her when she rezzes the last boss, I said to my guild 'That chicks gunna be a boss in Icecrown!' I figure she'll be sort of the Mu'ru of Icecrown, the last boss before Arthas, and a rreeaall fekker to beat, maybe with some kind of Evil res, like if one of your Raid members dies, she resses them and they start to attack the raid.
then of course Arthas will be there, then (hopefully) lots of other Lore based people, Ner'zhul, maybe one of the Hellscreams, and then some random heroes, brought back from Alliance/Horde history to fight there old friends.

Re: Icecrown Citadel Bosses
I think we should count on some form a quatuor that use well known class abilities. I mean, it's not as if we had such encounters in every BC raids (Moroes, Maulgar's council, Fathom Lord and his crew, Kael'thas' council, the Illidari council).
So my guess would be something among the lines of
Arthas
Sindragosa (obligatory huge boss)
Saurfang Jr in a form or another (given the strong emphasis on the soul-stealing in the video). I'm not sure he can be made a 3rd war deathknight without his body, nor he would be eligible for being a 2nd one, but I'm pretty sure Blizz can find something (obligatory fallen good guy).
Said council, either Nerubian, as they have qui a lot of classes available (priest, necromancer, mage, warrior) or a San'layn one (Vampires are that cool), or a Vrykul one, or (coolest option) a mix of that.
If there's no San'layn council, there will be at least a significan San'layn prince, or less likely princess (obligatory female character).
Other option for the obligatory female character : a Valkyrie, such as the one seen in Utgarde Keep.
A couple of undead/crazy Scarlet Crusaders would be nice too. All the well know dude that founded the Crusade are more or less dead anyway now.
Obligatory encounter IMO : a Death Knight, either a renowne one or a random guy.
Finally, the also obligatory big machine, whether it is an abomination (but patchwerk is getting old) or a flesh golem/undead giant/frankestein-like mob.

Re: Icecrown Citadel Bosses
Good call with the Valkyrie from UK. For other bosses who haven't we seen yet from the DK starting area? I don't think Salanar has made another appearance yet.

Re: Icecrown Citadel Bosses
I had an Idea from watching the Wrathgate cutscene again, either Meneldil said, we fight Saurfang Junior (which would be pretty cool) or, much cooler, whenever Arthas kills anyone in the raid, he drains there soul, and gains a few of there abilities. Like if he kills a warrior he MS's if he kills a Druid he Moonfire's if he kills a DK he Plague Strikes, shiz like that, would make it a million times cooler to fight him, and you'd never be 100% sure of what he was gunna do, as you never know in advance if anyone was gunna die.
also some kind of giant monster is DEFINATLY needed, not patchwerk, killed that fekker twice already, but something like him.
also it would be cool if the 'Last Bosses' from Vanilla WoW and TBC made an appearance, so at some point or another, maybe just before Arthas, you faught KT (although that could be wierd, as he's already in Naxx, which is the entry level raid....) and then Kil'Jaeden, and then Arthas, maybe in some kinda of wierd 'Flash Back' to get round the lore angle of them both being there :P

That would just be Hexxer from ZA. The result being, nobody would take certain classes for Arthas fight :P

Re: Icecrown Citadel Bosses
hehe maybe I guess, but would still be fun :P.
anyway, another boss I'm pretty sure is gunna be there is the big pally guy you meet in Dragonblight, doing one of the group quests, he's in a bubble (well he is a pally ;P) and when he walks away he says something like 'See you in Icecrown' so maybe we'll be seeing him as a boss would be cool, you'd have heals to interrupt, maybe a stun to get round, and of course, when he got to 5% he'd bubble and hearth, and you'd be able to get to a chest behind him :P

Re: Icecrown Citadel Bosses
Wow none of you guys must have done the AQ scepter quest like me and learned Draconic. If you did the Draconic for dummies quest you can see what Korialstrasz and Alexstrasz say after the wrathgate event.
although I don't remember it word for word its was something like:
Korial: Should we tell them about the fate of the young paladin.
Alex: No, not yet

Re: Icecrown Citadel Bosses
The lines were:
Korialstrasz says: My Queen, do they know?
Alexstrasza the Life-Binder says: No, my beloved.
Alexstrasza: [Draconic] They must not discover the fate of the young paladin. Not yet.
Korialstrasz nods.
Korialstrasz says: They will not.
Alexstrasza whispers: Come to me, Marowak.
(instead of Marowak put your name.)
