Yea, im a little sad about the wolf nerf too.
I use a vargul blighthound on my hunter, its a wolf.
I just love its ability, to add attack power all the time^^
Very sad that Blizzard'll nerf it
No pets should have unique abilities. If pets have unique abilities all hunters are going to pick the 3-4 alpha pets and all the other pets will be worthless.

I just like to see some uniqueness about the selections the hunter can pick for a pet.
Every arena I only see hunters with the crab now a days.
I do wonder, what pet will be the best in 3.1

Really gonna miss my wolf, and when i say miss i say that i gotta replace him, since its not really good anymore in the upcoming patch, with the ability nerfed.
As its a constant ap buff, i think that's the reason for many hunters picking wolves, except for their cool looks.
Maybe i should pick a wasp?
or a moth?
I don't know, but time will tell, i guess.
Honestly, I find myself using a wide variety of pets, both because it's more fun, and because of the varying utility. I actually have been using a snake for PvE because it is a cunning pet, and has Roar of Recovery (which is having it's cooldown cut in HALF ). I recently picked myself up a spider for the same reasons (and web is great for PvP),but i still have a wolf, cat, and scorpid when i get bored of my snake/spider.
